A bunch of updates & good news…

November 26th, 2008 by Amanda Young

Don’t Look Back, a romantic suspense novel co-authored with Michelle Cary, has been accepted at Amber Quill. This will be my first M/F story in quite a while, and my first non-erotic romance book. There’s no word on the release date just yet, but I’ll let you all know when I hear something.

I was also just informed that Something More is scheduled to go into print. I have no idea of the release date for this paperback, but I’m SUPER thrilled about it. Something More was the first of my stories to be released to the public (though not the first to be written) and it’s always been one of my favorites. You can bet I’ll let everyone know the minute it’s available on Amazon.

In other news, The Hard Truth (the sequel to Secrets & Lies) finally has a release date. It’ll debut at Loose Id on January 20, 2009.

More Contract News…

September 28th, 2008 by Amanda Young

My latest novella, Furtive Liaison, has been accepted at Amber Quill. The contract has been signed sealed and delivered, so I thought I would share my good news with you all. :)

Here’s a rough peek at the blurb:

Shawn couldn’t find the time for love, until Marc turned his life upside down in the best way possible. The discovery of a yellow rubber ducky shatters Shawn’s world and sends him on a downward spiral of confusion. Heartbroken, he must determine whether his relationship with Marc was real, or only an illusion of happiness.

Good News…

September 12th, 2008 by Amanda Young

th_4kv72j9.jpgI’ve finished another manuscript. Furtive Liaison is all done, except the self-editing. Below is a rough (very, very rough) look at the blurb.

A blowjob was all Shawn wanted when he met Marc at XXX bookstore during his lunch break. Instead, he discovered instant, explosive chemistry with a man he had nothing in common with. The last thing he wanted was to fall in love with anyone, much less an impulsive guy sporting chipped black nail polish.

Love was a four letter word he never wanted to take part in, until Marc strolled into his life and turned it upside down in the best way possible. For the first time in his life, Shawn isn’t concentrating on work.

The discovery of a yellow rubber ducky in Marc’s luggage sends Shawn on a downward spiral of confusion and heartbreak. Has their entire relationship been nothing more than the illusion of happiness, or could there be more to Marc’s betrayal than meets the eye?

Writing Update…

September 2nd, 2008 by Amanda Young

It’s been a while since my last writing update, so I thought I would let you all know what I’m up to at the moment. I’m currently hard at work on a new novella, tentatively titled Furtive Liaison.

Furtive Liaison is the story of a man who discovers his lover is more than he seems. That’s all I’m going to say right now. :)

A sneak peek at the blurb for Reckless Seduction

August 11th, 2008 by Amanda Young

Here is the peek I promised of my latest project, Reckless Seduction, due out at Loose Id in October. This is rough, but I think you can get the general idea. :)

All Cody wanted was to be rid of his pesky virginity. Never in his wildest dreams did he image how fast a fantasy could turn into a nightmare, or what lengths he would go through to set it right.

When nineteen year old Cody Bradbury gets his hands on an invitation to the hottest party of the year at The Casbah, an exclusive gay men’s club owned by his uncle, he doesn’t plan to let anything stand in his way of attending. With a stolen invitation, fake identification, and a hastily thrown together costume, Cody sneaks into the club during its annual Halloween party with the intention of checking out the action and possibly losing his long-despised cherry.

Cody can’t believe his good luck when Dante Santiago comes on to him. He’s had a hard-on for his uncle’s friend, Dante ever since he realized what his dick was good for. He’s so enamored of the older man that he doesn’t think twice when Dante starts referring to him as pretty boy, instead of by his given name.

He knows Dante wants his body, but is there any chance the older man might want more than an orgasm? There’s only one way to find out, and Cody plans to make it a night neither of them will ever forget.
