My new TV fix…

June 5th, 2008 by Amanda Young

ozdvd.jpgMy latest TV fix is the series, OZ. I bought all six seasons last week, and am currently through the first two. I don’t know how I missed this show when it was on, but apparently I did. Of course, in the late nineties when it began playing on HBO, I was 16, so I imagine I was too worried about chasing my now husband to care about what was on TV. :)

For anyone who watched the series, I’m fascinated with the Beecher/Keller hook-up. Something about watching Beecher transform from a straight-cut lawyer into a wild man just pings my imagination. I’m trying really hard not to peek ahead to see what going to happen in the next four seasons, but it’s hard.

I wish I had time to sit and watch them all, one after the other, but the sad truth is I can’t sit still and stare at the tube for that long. My SO gets aggravated with me sometimes, because I continually have to be doing three things at once. I can’t just sit still and watch something, no matter how interesting it is. Multitasking has become an addiction in it’s own right.

So, has anyone else watched this show? What do you think? Am I going to be disgusted with the ending? No, wait… don’t tell me. I want it to be a surprise.

The L Word’s Back

January 7th, 2008 by Amanda Young

I, for one, am thrilled to see the L word back on Showtime. There’s nothing more enjoyable for me than a good, juicy drama. :)

It’s nice to have something to watch for a change, when television seems to be running toward reality and game shows more and more these days.

Now I’ll just be glad when Torchwood comes back on later this month. That’ll give me a few good reasons to keep paying for Directv anyway. ;)

What’s everyone else watching right now?
