My new TV fix…

June 5th, 2008 by Amanda Young

ozdvd.jpgMy latest TV fix is the series, OZ. I bought all six seasons last week, and am currently through the first two. I don’t know how I missed this show when it was on, but apparently I did. Of course, in the late nineties when it began playing on HBO, I was 16, so I imagine I was too worried about chasing my now husband to care about what was on TV. :)

For anyone who watched the series, I’m fascinated with the Beecher/Keller hook-up. Something about watching Beecher transform from a straight-cut lawyer into a wild man just pings my imagination. I’m trying really hard not to peek ahead to see what going to happen in the next four seasons, but it’s hard.

I wish I had time to sit and watch them all, one after the other, but the sad truth is I can’t sit still and stare at the tube for that long. My SO gets aggravated with me sometimes, because I continually have to be doing three things at once. I can’t just sit still and watch something, no matter how interesting it is. Multitasking has become an addiction in it’s own right.

So, has anyone else watched this show? What do you think? Am I going to be disgusted with the ending? No, wait… don’t tell me. I want it to be a surprise.

The hunt is on…

June 1st, 2008 by Amanda Young

For the month of June, Rainbow Reviews  is hosting a scavenger hunt! Some fabulous authors have agreed to donate copies of their books as prizes, and all you have to do is find a graphic hidden somewhere on their site!

The rules of the hunt are simple:

1. Each participating author has placed the following graphic somewhere on their website.

2. Visit each site and find the graphic.

3. Fill out the Entry Form (opens in a new window).

NOTE: You must have one link from each author to complete the scavenger hunt. The links in your email must go directly to the pages where you found the graphic. Any incomplete emails will be disqualified.

4. All contestants who provide a mailing address will also receive a goody bag stuffed full of promo items from a bevy of authors! Bookworm Bags is supplying bookmarks, postcards, pens, pins, CDs, and other fun goodies, so be sure to include a snail mail address to get free things!

5. On June 30th, the winners will be announced … one for each book we’re giving away!

So what are you waiting for?

Visit Rainbow Reviews and start searching TODAY!
